COP27: Citi Oceans & Climate Science Panel, Oceans – The neglected SDG that could sink them all

From 6th to 18th November, Egypt will host the 27th Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP27).
This will take place in Sharm El- Sheikh, with a view to building on previous successes and paving the way for future ambition.

We’re pleased to invite you to join us at the UNFCCC Pavilion in the Blue Zone for a panel discussion on Oceans & Climate Science.

This event coincides with the launch of Citi’s Tipping Points report on the Ocean Economy. This report seeks to answer the questions – what are the root causes and the scale of the main threats to our oceans, and how should the public, private and financial sectors go about addressing them?

Moderator: Keith Tuffley, Global Co-Head of Sustainability & Corporate Transitions at Citi

Speakers:

  • Sylvia Earle, Marine Biologist, President of Mission Blue

  • Professor Dr. Johan Rockström, Director of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research
  • Dr Ying Qin of Citi’s Global Insights team.
