Analyst

Citi's Capital Markets Origination division is composed of a unique mix of Investment Banking and Sales & Trading groups that drive the fixed income and equities markets by providing products and liquidity for our clients. As an Analyst, you will gain invaluable exposure to Citi's global businesses during a two-year, comprehensive training program taught by industry experts. At the conclusion of the program, many Analysts are invited to stay for a third year and quite a few move on to become Associates.

Associate

Citi's Capital Markets Origination division is composed of a unique mix of Investment Banking and Sales & Trading groups that drive the fixed income and equities markets by providing products and liquidity for our clients. As an Associate, you will participate in an intensive eight-to-11 week introduction to Citi's global businesses. Skilled external consultants, along with highly respected professionals with industry and product expertise, conduct this comprehensive training program.

Summer Analyst

Citi's Capital Markets Origination division is composed of a unique mix of Investment Banking and Sales & Trading groups that drive the fixed income and equities markets by providing products and liquidity for our clients. As a Summer Analyst, you will receive formal training in the Capital Markets Origination businesses, as well as master the tools needed to be successful in your summer role. Following training, you will be assigned to an industry or product coverage group where you will be given meaningful responsibility and gain live, hands-on deal experience.

Summer Associate

The Global Commodity Sales and Trading division, based in Houston, Texas, focuses primarily on trading and marketing commodities and commodity derivatives in power, natural gas, crude oil and products, and metals. As an Analyst, you will perform two one-year rotations in the areas of risk management, marketing, origination, structured products, logistics or fundamentals. Analyst

As a full-time Analyst at Citi, you will be immersed in corporate finance theory, and actively involved in the preparation of a broad set of client-related materials. By the end of the program, you will have worked directly with senior bankers and product partners across the Citi platform, becoming an expert in complex financial modeling and industry analysis, and intimately familiar with deal structuring.

Associate

As a full-time Associate at Citi, you will be an active member of the transaction and client teams. In this role, you will play an important part in developing the analytical framework leading to a solution. Your direct contribution will help shape the transaction team's thinking and you may often be asked to join the team in presenting materials to clients. Mastery of modeling, industry fundamentals, the ability to draw conclusions from disparate data, and high energy are prerequisites to success in this important position.

Summer Analyst

As a Summer Analyst, you will receive formal training in the Corporate Banking business where you will master the tools required to be successful in your summer roles. This comprehensive training program features a Distinguished Speaker Series where senior management host roundtable discussions designed to answer your questions. You will also have the opportunity to become involved in a formal mentor program, which allows you to establish connections with Citi's more experienced bankers to assist in developing your career objectives.

Summer Associate

As a Summer Associate, you will participate in all aspects of deal origination and execution, as well as engage with senior bankers and clients, gaining an understanding of how best to address client needs. Analyst

Analysts play a key role in Investment Banking, providing research, valuation and modeling, and coordination as the foundation for advising corporate clients in financial matters, including strategic maneuvers (Mergers & Acquisitions) and capital structure (Corporate Finance). As an Analyst, you will participate in our comprehensive ten-week training program where you will learn fundamental aspects of financial accounting, corporate finance, analytics, cash flow modeling, risk and credit analysis, and capital markets. Associate

Associates play a key role in Investment Banking, acting as linchpins of a project team, responsible for everything from the smallest detail to integrating high-level strategy that enables us to advise corporate clients in financial matters, including strategic maneuvers (Mergers & Acquisitions) and capital structure (Corporate Finance). As an Associate, you will become the knowledge expert on your projects, driving analyses and processes forward. You will have the opportunity to create ideas, impact valuations and help improve the client relationship. This position is the ideal stepping-stone in preparation for future senior banking roles.

Summer Analyst

As a Summer Analyst, you will take part in our summer internship program, which starts in June. This comprehensive one-week training program will provide you with an in-depth understanding of our Investment Banking division. Following classroom training, you will be assigned to an industry or product coverage group based on your interests and group availability. This hands-on experience will provide you with valuable insights into the financial analysis and business development process.

Summer Associate

As a Summer Associate, you will take part in a comprehensive, one-week training program, starting in June. In this program, top bankers at the Firm will share their experiences and help hone your skills, preparing you to be a full-time Associate. Among the areas of expertise you will acquire are technical and data-gathering capabilities. Our junior bankers will also be available to offer key insights and advice on everything from juggling multiple projects to interacting with clients.

The CIRA Two-Year Associate Program is a unique opportunity for those who are intellectually curious, able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, detail oriented and articulate in oral and written communications.

Summer Associate

Our analysts, strategists and economists provide expert analysis in a variety of disciplines: fundamental equities, corporate bonds, technical research, quantitative analysis, economics, strategy and the broader fixed income universe. CIRA is committed to providing best-in-class, pertinent and timely investment research that includes both a regional perspective and a global view/implication for Citi's clients. As a Summer Associate, you will work with an Analyst team, learning day-to-day responsibilities, as well as focusing on a specific project. You will be responsible for creating, updating and maintaining spreadsheets, quantitative models and databases of assigned companies, proofreading industry/company reports and preparing written material for event-driven morning calls. Additional responsibilities include assisting in writing and editing company reports, providing market information to selective institutional and retail clients and attending company meetings.

Quantitative Analysis Track
The Markets Quantitative Analysis Department plays a vital role in the Institutional Clients Group. Markets Quantitative Analysis builds tools and models that assist traders and clients in pricing, hedging and structuring of securities, and provides critical information and advice for managing risk across all market trading units. As an Analyst, you will spend time in both Research and in a Quantitative Trading function, learning first-hand about the increasingly quantitative and technical demands of the financial world. Strong technical and quantitative abilities are key to success in this area.

Quantitative Full Time Associate
As a Full-Time Associate, you will rotate between Markets Quantitative Analysis and Quantitative Trading groups. You will have the opportunity to take part in formalized training, as well as learn on-the-job from senior professionals from various quantitative areas within the Firm. Strong mathematical and technical skills are integral to your success. In addition, the ability to carry on creative research and synthesize information as well as communicate across customers, traders and salespeople are important skills that will allow you to be successful in this role. A PhD degree, or Masters degree with at least 2 years of full-time work experience are required.

The Sales, Trading and Quantitative Analysis Summer Analyst Program is unlike any other on Wall Street. If you are interested in a career in the markets, this highly competitive and selective program offers a comprehensive introduction to our Fixed Income, Currency, Municipals and Equity franchises. Working alongside our experienced professionals, you will have the opportunity to actively participate in the research, trading and marketing of securities to our institutional client base.

Quantitative Analysis Track
As a Summer Analyst, you will be assigned a mentor and attend weekly research seminars, which provide an overview of the department and the Firm. In addition to formal training, you will work directly with a research analyst to develop an understanding of a specific segment of the market and contribute to the research produced by the department.

Summer Associate

Sales and Trading Track
This highly competitive and selective program gives first-year MBA students, interested in a career in the markets, a comprehensive introduction to our Fixed Income, Currency, Municipals and Equity franchises. As a Summer Associate, you will work alongside our experienced professionals, where you will have the opportunity to actively participate in the research, trading and marketing of securities to our institutional client base. You will participate in a structured rotation designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of the Equities, Fixed Income and Municipals businesses.

Quantitative Analysis Track
As a Summer Associate, you will be placed into a Markets Quantitative Analysis or Quantitative Trading group. In addition to your group-specific project(s), you will attend seminars multiple times weekly. During these seminars, senior professionals from various quantitative areas within the Firm will provide overviews of their markets and strategic approaches to analyzing their respective sectors. Strong mathematical and technical skills, the ability to carry on creative research and synthesize information, as well as highly effective communication skills in order to liaise with customers, colleagues, traders and salespeople alike are keys to success in this area. Working toward the completion of a PhD degree, or Masters degree with at least 2 years of full-time work experience, is required.

Analyst

Citi Cards North America (N.A.) is the market leader in the credit card industry. With a global brand and distribution, this franchise stands as a leader in customer service technology, security, and fraud prevention. As an Analyst, you will be assigned to one of four key functions within the cards business: Risk Management, Decision Management, Business Delivery and Execution, or Value Customer Growth. You will benefit from exposure to cross-functional projects offering interaction with the various groups across the Cards N.A. business. Your assignment will be based in the New York metro area and will last approximately 18 months. This undergraduate program offers important development through formal training, a mentorship program, a short-term operations assignment, and an optional international assignment for select individuals who have demonstrated exceptional performance.

Commercial Banking

Analyst

Commercial Banking for North America Consumer provides a full suite of financial solutions for business and commercial customers with annual sales ranging from $5 million to $250+ million. Solutions include Deposit and Lending options, as well as complete Cash Management, Trade, Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate Derivatives. As an Analyst, you will be assigned to a specific market within Commercial Banking for the duration of the program and final placement. Job responsibilities are designed to immediately utilize formal training in practical applications supporting business needs such as credit risk analysis, product/service operations, customer focus, the sales process, etc. You will take part in a structured 18-month development program consisting of training, as well as practical on-the-job experiences, including credit analysis, customer calls, credit reviews and sales. You will also take part in 13 weeks of formal commercial credit training to acquire the skills necessary to structure commercial deals and analyze credit risk when dealing with client financial statements, risk portfolios and credit transactions.

The Global Consumer Technology Leadership Program (TLP) is designed to put technology careers on the fast track. Each Program Member's experience begins with a three-week Springboard to Success program, designed to provide an orientation to our business as well as key skills, tools and information to prepare participants for success as they take on their first rotational role. Three eight-month rotations in both technical and project management roles across multiple lines of business provide a strong foundation for a stellar career. Assigned coaches and mentors help facilitate both business and rotational transitions, and support active career management strategies. TLP Rotations will be offered in each of these five locations: Baltimore, MD; Blue Ash, OH (Cincinnati Marketplace); Irving, TX (Dallas Marketplace); Jacksonville, FL; O'Fallon, MO (St. Louis Marketplace). If you have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or Business (technology focused) and have strong project management skills, a high level of intellectual curiosity, demonstrated leadership and top-level interpersonal skills, you could be an ideal fit for this program.

As an Associate in the Global Engagement Management Program, you will take part in a two-and-a-half-year program designed to offer two "in-country" rotations lasting approximately one year each. Each rotation will be in a priority country with your second rotation in the country where you will be permanently placed. You will receive cross-business and cross-geography rotational assignments, along with special training and mentorship, as part of our goal to create the next generation of global-minded managers and bankers. We are looking for exceptional candidates who want to live, work and find success in economies outside the United States, and who are ready to make a genuine commitment to building a career in financial services management with an emphasis on expanding high-growth economies. Analyst

The Finance Analyst Program is a three year entry level developmental program which introduces college graduates to Finance through diversified experiences. This Program offers a unique perspective providing development opportunities in Finance while supporting various functions and businesses. During the first two years Finance Analysts are placed in a specific role within one of the Finance functions: Controllers, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, Tax, M&A, Strategy, and Investor Relations. During this time, Analysts work closely with management teams and are provided the opportunity to add value to the company through responsibilities including product control, financial closings and consolidations, developing financial controls, management reporting, planning and analysis, and management of balance sheets and liquidity. For the third year FAs will be required to move to a role supporting another product, function or legal entity to help broaden their finance skills, knowledge of the organization, and expand their network. Success in the FA program is a solid first step towards a successful Finance career at Citi.

Training:

All Finance Analysts participate in a comprehensive training program in July and August in New York City. Training begins with a Citi orientation followed by technical training and soft skills training including, presentation skills, communication skills and leadership skills. This training will facilitate the ability to immediately contribute to their initial rotation.

Associate

The Finance Associate Program is a Global Citi Finance Leadership Development Program for MBAs. The program is designed to create a pipeline of future Finance leaders with experience in multiple Finance disciplines. Finance Associates have the opportunity to work closely with senior-level finance managers in key functional specialties including Controllers, Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis, Investor Relations, Strategy, and M&A. The program is unique due to the various product/region/function/legal entity perspectives the Finance Associates experience. The FMA program consists of three, six-month rotations with a required rotation in Treasury and Controllers. There is an opportunity, based on performance, for one international rotation while on program.

Training:

All Finance Associates participate in a comprehensive global training program beginning in August in New York City. This training will facilitate the ability for each Associate to immediately contribute to their initial rotation. The program begins with “Welcome Week” where Associates have the opportunity to interact with Citi’s senior finance leadership team and provides networking opportunities. This week is followed by an intensive program led by internal and external subject matter experts. Topics covered include accounting, modeling, technical skills, and soft skills including presentation skills, communication skills and leadership skills as well as overviews of each of the major Citi businesses and finance functions.

Summer Analyst

The Summer Finance Analyst Program is a developmental program which introduces college students to Finance through diversified experiences and continues to be a significant feeder pool for the Finance Analyst. This 10 week program offers a unique perspective providing development opportunities in Finance while supporting various functions and businesses and a specific role within one of the Finance functions: Controllers, Treasury, Strategy, Financial Planning & Analysis, Tax, M&A, and Investor Relations. Summer Analysts work closely with management teams and are provided the opportunity to add value to the company through responsibilities including product control, financial closings and consolidations, developing financial controls, management reporting, planning and analysis, and management of balance sheets and liquidity.

Summer Finance Analysts will begin their program in New York City with a series of classroom training sessions. These functional and technical training programs are designed to promote professional development and effective work habits during our Analysts’ time here at Citi. Analysts will undergo an orientation to Citi, including business overviews from seasoned professionals within the various Finance Functions. The program will offer learning and development opportunities in technical finance and financial accounting skills as well as building communication and presentation skills.

Summer Associate

The Summer Financial Management Associate Program is a “Citi Finance Leadership Development Program” for MBA candidates and continues to be a significant feeder pool for the Finance Associate Program. Summer Associates have the opportunity to work closely with senior-level finance managers in key functional specialties including Controllers, Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis, Investor Relations, Strategy, and M&A. The 10 week program is unique due to the various product/function/legal entity perspectives the Finance Associates experience, allowing Summer Associates to work on challenging projects designed to test skills while providing a learning opportunity and adding value.

Training:

Our Summer Finance Associates will begin their program in New York City with a series of classroom training sessions. Training is designed to aid Associates in maximizing effectiveness and efficiency in the workplace during their summer with Citi. Associates will receive an orientation to Citi, including business overviews from senior professionals within the Finance Function. Training will highlight current topics in the banking industry, technical finance and accounting skills, and communication and presentation skills.

The Global Risk Track is a one-year program followed by permanent placement and is structured to respond to the increasingly quantitative and technical demands of the financial world. As an Analyst with strong technical and quantitative abilities, you will have the opportunity to spend time across the Citi Risk businesses, including the Global Consumer Bank, Global Institutional Bank, Private Bank and Brokerage, Risk Capital, Risk Architecture, Infrastructure Risk and our CAO groups.
 
Institutional Risk
The Institutional Clients Group Risk Track is a two-year program followed by an opportunity for a third-year position, pending business need and Analyst performance. You will work primarily in the Global Industries Regional Markets group, supporting a series of industries or products in the Institutional Clients Group. As an Analyst, you will focus on analysis, transaction execution and portfolio management.

Summer Analyst
